Dear Dave,

We enjoyed your performance on March 1st.[2002] I think it was the best one I had ever seen. The new marionettes and format was a nice change. For some of the kindergarten children it was the third time they have seen your show, so the changes were welcome.

The new stage was great. I doubted that it would improve the show when you told me about it . However, it made it so much easier for the children to see while they stayed seated on the floor. Yet you still managed to do the the “close up and personal stuff” that the children love.

We can’t wait to see you and your ever improving marionettes next year.

Sincerely,

Dear Mr. Herzog

Your marvelous performance “Under the Big Top” was a huge success with the Edward Coles School children and their parents. The clever handmade marionettes and lively music kept even our youngest children enthralled !

Marionette productions for young children are very rare in the Chicagoland area. Yours is far and away the best!.....

Dear Dave,

Once again you gave a stellar performance! I can’t decide which of your shows is my favorite. Each is unique and enjoyable in it’s own way. I like the addition of showing how you manipulate your ‘Kids’. Very interesting! Thank you for a wonderful afternoon of your special magic

Dear Mr. Herzog,

I want to thank you and all of the puppets for the wonderful performance you gave the children for our third family night of the “ Travel the reading Highway” summer. The children were mesmerized by the puppets. They talked about them at many of our afternoon events for weeks, especially the children noticed the puppets individually. The really funny thing is, and I hope you will not be hurt by this, they never mention the human puppeteer.

It’s a toss up whether the favorites were the alien bugs or the monster mash performers. Well the Moms also have put in a good word for the swan. A young man asks me every time he stops in, ‘ How did that puppet blow up that balloon?’

Enclosed you will find a couple of pictures from your night with us. All of duplicates of the children with the puppets after the performance have been absconded with by the children in the pictures
